Terms of Service
Welcome to Olla (“Olla”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and us for using the Olla mobile app and its related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Olla lets you discover and stream music, build and share playlists, follow other listeners, listen to internet radio stations and, with a Premium subscription, save music for offline listening. The music catalog is provided by third parties, including artists who publish under open licenses (for example Creative Commons licenses on Jamendo). Availability of any song, station or feature can change at any time.
2. Who can use Olla
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to the processing of your personal data, whichever is higher.
- If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
- You may use limited features as a guest (for example, a preview of each song). Playlists, following other people, notifications and Premium require an account.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Your username and profile photo may be visible to other Olla users.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorized use.
- One person, one account. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.
- You can sign in with Google or Facebook. If you do, we receive the basic profile information those services share with us, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Premium subscription and payments
- Premium is a paid subscription sold through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account; we never see or store your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions). Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Prices, free trials and introductory offers are shown in Google Play before you buy. An introductory offer is available only to users who are eligible under Google Play’s rules.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play according to its policies, except where the law gives you a right we cannot exclude.
- Offline downloads are part of Premium. They remain available only while your subscription is active and are stored in an encrypted form inside the app.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- copy, record, redistribute, sell or publicly perform music obtained through the Service, or remove copyright or license notices;
- bypass, disable or interfere with security, download limits, the guest preview limit, advertising or any other technical protection;
- use bots, scrapers or automated means to access the Service, or overload it;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where the law permits it;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or spam other users, or use usernames, photos or playlist names that are unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading;
- upload malicious code or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
6. Playlists, profiles and social features
- You own what you create (playlist names, your profile photo). You give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and display it inside the Service so that it works as described, including showing it to the people you share it with.
- Shared playlists: when you invite someone to a playlist and they accept, they can add and remove songs, and both of you can see who is in the playlist. Only the owner can rename or delete it and manage its members.
- Following: when you follow someone, they are notified. Your username, profile photo, e-mail address, playlist and follower counts are visible to other signed-in users on your profile and in shared playlists.
- Your controls: in Settings you can hide your profile from search, hide your followers and following lists, and turn off push notifications.
- We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these Terms.
7. Music, radio and third-party content
Songs, artwork and radio streams belong to their respective owners and are provided under the licenses they chose. You may listen for your own personal, non-commercial use. Setting a song as a ringtone is for your own device only. Radio stations are third-party streams that we list for convenience; a station may change or disappear, and we may remove stations at the request of a rights holder or for other legal reasons.
8. Notifications and messages
We send push notifications and in-app notifications about things you asked for or that involve you (for example a playlist invitation or a new follower), and service messages such as password resets. You can turn push notifications off in Settings.
9. Intellectual property
The Olla app, name, logo and design are owned by Olla or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to them other than the limited right to use the Service as intended.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Olla and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and liability limits) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any particular song, station or feature will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Olla is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. If a change is important we will tell you in the app or by e-mail before it applies. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply at the place of business of Olla, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protection rights of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute before the courts or consumer bodies that have jurisdiction there.
